The course is based on the study of the latest biotechnology techniques aimed at reducing the climatic impact of animal breeding in the main mono and polygastric species (cattle, sheep, pigs).

Knowledge
The student will acquire knowledge on the climate impact on animal production and the possible climate mitigation strategies for animals and vice versa.
Expertise
The student will have acquired the skills necessary to make estimates of the environmental impact of livestock farms as well as the skills required to plan precision farming systems aimed to reduce the environmental impact of animal farming.
Capacity
The student will be able to propose tools for reducing harmful emissions in the breeding systems of the main species of zootechnical interest. The student will also have acquired the ability to identify strategies and techniques of precision farming.
